What areas do you serve?

Are you insured?
DWE is a fully licensed and insured company. We are happy to share copies of credentials and provide client references.
What kind of animals do you care for?
We primarily care for dogs & cats. However, if you have other types of pets we're happy to care for them per your instructions.
Does the same person walk my dogs each time?




While it is important for your pet to establish a relationship with one staff member, In the event that your regular walker is unavailable, DWE will provide another Walker that is already familiar with your Pet. This is possible because DWE cross-trains all staff with our packs (we call this our Buddy Walkers). 
What do you do if my animal gets ill?
In the event that your pet is ill or injured while in our care, we will call the Veterinarian listed on your client form. If that Vet is not available we will take your pet to the nearest 24- hour urgent pet care facility. Our staff is trained to act quickly and deal with whatever situation presents itself.
What is the overnight pet sit routine?
Your staff member will walk and feed your animals at 7pm (for a regular sit) and 6pm (for an extended sit.) Canine clients are walked before bed, and walked and fed in the morning. We depart at  8am for regular sit, and 9am for extended sit.
How do I start Service?
After we receive your client form, a DWE staff member will email you to coordinate a time to meet with you and your pet (s). Here, you can communicate any information necessary for us to provide the best care for your pet (s), such as daily routines and special needs. We then request that two keys are given to your staff member; one is for the staff member, the other stays in our safe at the DWE office.
How do I get my house keys to & from DWE?
DWE staff will not leave keys inside your home after the completion of a house sit in case of a delay or an emergency with your arrival time. We arrange to get the key back to you upon your return.
Do I need to Give 2 sets of house keys?
Yes. We keep an extra key to your home in our safe. This key is not labeled with your address and is coded for DWE staff use only. Your key(s) will be returned to you upon your request at any time.
Do you provide Dog training?
DWE works with several trainers and we will be happy to provide a referral for you.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
A one -night deposit is due upon booking any house sitting services in order to hold staff and dates. If we do not receive your deposit upon booking DWE reserves the right to cancel your booking.

During major holidays there is a one night non-refundable deposit upon booking a house sit in order to hold staff and dates. Major Holidays include:  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Labor Day, Memorial Day and July 4th.

House sit deposits are refundable if given a 48 hour cancelation notice. For 24 hour cancelation notice there is a $25 administration fee. There will be no refund for any cancelations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking. Balance for house -sitting services must be received prior to the start of the house sit.  DWE reserves the right to cancel any house sit if payment has not been received.
